A Newtype is a human being whose evolution has better prepared them for space by affecting their mental acuity. Newtypes have a wide variety of abilities that set them apart from other humans. Some of them are natural pilots, while others are natural diplomats, and still others exhibit a variety of unique abilities and have vastly different potential. The condition of Newtype is neurological, born from humans who have had specific genetic markers activated. There are currently no other known methods of becoming a Newtype aside from a natural awakening, which in rare cases may be expedited by an individual with Perfect Bond.

When rolling for Newtypes, there are a variety of potential evolutions that allow for a Newtype to receive various different skills based on what they roll. The skills are either dominate or recessive. Dominant skills can reach maximum potential. Recessive skills will only reach half of their potential. Each skill family has five levels.


First Skill Family: Sixth Sense

Tier 1-Spacial Sense: The Newtype has awakened slightly, and as a result has become much more spatially aware. They are prescient in regards to their surroundings while being able to maintain a focus upon a variety of objectives. The Newtype knows the position of all landmarks and enemies they've seen and will naturally track them up to 2000 meters. They are still developing the skill, and not yet capable of keeping tabs on targets that are moving fast while they are also in motion.

Tier 2-Evolved Sense: The Newtype has awakened now, and their spatial awareness has further increased. They're remarkably prescient in regards to their surroundings now, and their focus has become unshakable. Their spatial awareness increases to 5000 meters, and they are now capable of estimating the positions of moving opponents that they can not see relative to their own. However, bizarre movements or otherwise unpredictable behavior can throw them off. In addition, the Newtype is capable of feeling hostile intent, and can react to enemy pilots within their sensory range a second sooner than even the most experienced pilot could.

Tier 3-Combat Sense: The Newtype's powers are accelerating, now. Their spatial awareness has not only increased, but their focus has expanded greatly. Up to 9000 meters they can inherently sense hostile intentions directed towards them or their allies, and react to them two seconds before they launch an attack to opponents that they do not see. This reaction maybe be anything from dodging to counterattacking. In addition, they can almost perfectly track the position of targets on the battlefield.

Tier 4-Perfect Sense: The Newtype's powers have ascended to sheer perfection. Their spacial awareness is maximized, and their focus has evolved into true multitasking. They can keep track of the great void up to 14000 meters, and within this range can sense all hostile intentions from their opponents which gives them an uncanny five seconds in which they can react to the opponent or opponents.


Second Skill Family: Newtype Bond

Tier 1-Empathetic Bond: Newtypes are inherently aware of other Newtypes. They can not precisely locate them, but they can feel their presence. Stronger Newtypes are capable of reaching out to these individuals and guiding them, but they can not reach back. These individuals can also be contacted by those who have died.

Tier 2-Cosmic Bond: Newtypes are able to understand each other's emotions without fail. They can sense each other's joy and pain, their rage and despair. Newtypes are capable of transferring basic information in this manner as well, such as names, but seldom more than that. They can also recognize feeling Newtypes they've felt  before. For every Newtype nearby, they gain a passive +10 stat boost in each statistic.

Tier 3-Telepathic Bond: Newtypes can speak to other Newtypes over great distance, communicating important or complex information to them. At this stage they can recognize latent Newtypes whose potential is close to surfacing. At they same time, they can sense the real emotional state of individuals around them.

Tier 4-Perfect Bond: Newtypes can not only speak to other Newtypes, but perceive the world through their eyes as though to give them more complete information. In this way, experienced Newtypes can lend their proficiency to Newtypes who are weaker or still developing their potential. This same strength allows Newtypes to damage the minds of other, weaker Newtypes by damaging their minds and driving them insane. For every Newtype nearby, they gain a passive +10 stat boost and each allied Newtype gains +5, while each opposing Newtype takes -5.


Third Skill Family: Natural Pilot
Certain Newtypes may take the profession "pilot" without it taking up a profession slot.

Fourth Skill Family: Natural Diplomat
Certain Newtypes may take the profession "diplomat" without it taking up a profession slot.


61% are Oldtypes- If a person rolls Oldtype they receive no Newtype Powers. They will not be able to reroll for Newtype powers at a later time.

16% are Latent Newtype- If a person rolls Latent Newtype, they receive no Newtype Powers. Every  character level, they may reroll for a Newtype Power. For the purposes of these rerolls, Oldtype and Latent Newtype mean the same thing. They reroll every level until they get a Newtype Variation.

4% are Birthright Pilot- If a Person rolls the Birthright Pilot, they gain the Pilot Profession without it taking up any of their profession slots. If they already have taken Pilot as a profession, that Profession Slot is freed up and they may take another profession.

4% are Birthright Diplomats- If a person rolls the Birthright Diplomat, they gain the Diplomat Profession without it taking up any of their profession slots. If they already have taken Diplomat as a profession, that Profession Slot is freed up and they may take another profession.

3% are Combative Newtypes- If a person rolls Combat Newtype they gain the Sixth Sense skill set.

3% are Empathetic Newtypes- If a person rolls Empathetic Newtype they gain the Newtype Bond skill set.

2% are Newtype Warriors- If a person rolls Newtype Warrior they gain the benefits of Birthright Pilots and Combative Newtypes.

2% are Newtype Leaders- If a person rolls Newtype Diplomat they gain the benefits of Birthright Diplomats and Empathetic Newtypes

2% are Newtype Coordinatoors- If a person rolls Newtype Coordinatoor they gain the benefits of Birthright Pilots and Empathetic Newtypes

2% are Newtype Innovators- If a person rolls Newtype Innovator they gain the benefits of Birthright Diplomat and Combative Newtypes

1% are Omega Newtypes- If a person rolls Omega Newtype, they gain the Benefits of both Newtype Warriors and Newtype Leaders
